Roulette Strategies to Win

One of the most effective ways to improve your winning odds is by learning and practicing a roulette betting strategy. The roulette strategies we’re going to discuss are widely used by players and will help you understand the probabilities behind this popular game.

Pivot Roulette Strategy

According to the Pivot strategy there will be some numbers on the roulette wheel that will come up more often than the rest. Based on this mathematical concept, players can win more often by betting on these numbers. To work out which numbers you will bet on, you will first need to spin the wheel (without betting money!) until you see a particular number come up twice. Once this has occurred, and then you write down this number and start placing bets on it. You should keep placing bets on this number only if it proves to be successful. If this number has not paid out once after 35 bets, then leave it, go back and pick another number and start over. Bear in mind that there are 37 numbers on the European roulette but a Single Number bet returns your wager at 35:1, so 35 bets will be your limit.

Using the Labouchere Method

Labouchere is a well-known betting strategy that is also referred to as “the cross-out” strategy. The first thing you need to do is come up with a sequence of four consecutive numbers. Let’s assume that you choose the number 2, 3, 4 and 5 as your sequence. Write these down and now take the first and last numbers and add them together. In other words, 2 + 5 = 7. So your first wager will be on an Even Money bet for 7 units. Whenever you win a bet, you will have to “cross out” these two numbers of your sequence, in our example these are 2 and 5.If you lose the bet, however, then you will add this number (7) to the end of your sequence and then add the two outer numbers again. These are now 2 and 7, equals 9. Your next wager on even money bet will now be 9 units. There is no such thing as a “perfect” sequence in Labouchere strategy but some players claim that using shorter sequences often produce more winnings than longer sequences.

Playing Roulette Using the Martingale Method

The Martingale strategy is perhaps the most popular betting strategy of all and it has been said to produce the highest profits. The first thing we need to do is determine the size of your bankroll and how much money you will be using for this roulette session. Based on this, we can work out the size of your wagers. You should not undermine the importance of deciding the size of your bankroll and respect this limit. Doing this will help you reduce your odds of going bankrupt and help you gain more control of your game. Let’s assume you have a $100 to play with. Based on a $100, you will start betting no more than 5% of your cash, in this case $5.You will now place a $5 bet on any Even Money bet. Whenever you win the first $5 bet, you will place another $5 bet on an Even Money bet. If you lose the bet, then you will bet twice as much ($10) on that same even money bet. The $5 will remain as your fixed bet after a win but whenever you lose you will be double your next bet. If you stick to these guidelines, you’re never gambling more than 5% of your bankroll.
